Chef Andrea Holzner opened Torte Couture Catering in the spring of 2008, with a vision of creating unique tortes and Portland's finest catering service. Trained both in Europe and in the US, Holzner infuses every dish she creates with her extensive knowledge and passion for bringing gourmet back in vogue. Chef Holzner started her career with basic dinner parties and smaller events, now she caters festivals, weddings, tea parties, and larger events. Once word of her tasty signature dishes got out, offers to host openings, birthday parties and social events came knocking. Although she has an affinity for the French and Italian cuisine, Holzner is well versed in many other ethnicities inclusive of theme, era parties.  She will also cater gluten free and vegatarian dishes.

Chef Holzner grew up in a household of gourmet cooks where the common denominator was good food.  Her stepmother, an inspiration in her own right with cookbook, catering and classes.  Her Oma, grandmother, was her role model and true inspiration, able to "cook up a meal in a flash".  She taught Holzner to appreciate the finer elements as herbs, berries and only the finest tasting ingredients to create a wonderful meal.  Chef Holzner founded Torte Couture Catering in the spring of 2008. Before she created her first dish, she vowed to only use the finest ingredients, and prepare each dish with an infusion of passion and creativity. Portlander's have been raving ever since. Guests agree that Chef Holzner creates not just meals but memories.
